FAQs
A few quiet answers.
Where is SHAMBA made?
Handcrafted in Kenya, in small batches, with care for the land that inspired the name.
What does SHAMBA mean?
Shamba means “farm” in Swahili. Eva's family uses the word for home — the land, the trees, and the daily work of care.
Can I buy THAAYU and WENDO now?
Not yet from this site. We are preparing to take orders. Write to us and we will tell you when jars are ready.
Are the formulas simple?
Yes. We use a short list of nourishing ingredients — shea, baobab, mango butter, marula, beeswax — chosen with intention. See the ingredients page for more.
Who can use the products?
THAAYU is made for all skin types, especially skin that feels dry. WENDO is for everyday lip care. If you have a known allergy, read the ingredients first and write to us if you are unsure.
How do I write to SHAMBA?
Email shamba@shamba.com, or use the form on the contact page. That is the address we read.
Who is behind SHAMBA?
Eva's family. The brand is named for their home in Kenya — the Shamba. Write to us at shamba@shamba.com.
How should I store THAAYU and WENDO?
Keep them in a cool, dry place with the lid on. Avoid leaving a jar or tin in strong heat or direct sun for long stretches.
Can I use this on sensitive skin?
THAAYU is made for all skin types, especially skin that feels dry. WENDO is for everyday lip care. We do not claim the formulas are hypoallergenic. If your skin is easily irritated, patch-test a little on the inner arm first, and read the ingredients. Write to us if you are unsure.
